Our Three Year Strategy

The BTC Trust runs a cyclical three year strategic planning cycle.  Our current three year strategic plan comes to an end in 2024 and by July 2024 we will publish our new and refreshed three year plan.

This is a high level plan that sets out the overarching ambitions of the BTC Trust and our academies.  The current plan is divided into three core areas of delivery each with priority strands:

School Improvement

Ensure the curriculum offer in each school is exceptional, challenging and diverse facilitating students making great progress

Ensure that every child reads to within 6 months of their chronological age

Expand the reach and impact of our online teaching provision, exploiting the benefits of out of hours teaching and catch up

Ensure that every teacher is an outstanding practitioner

Deliver an exceptional primary school at Maiden Beech Academy

Inclusion

Deliver Apex West in 2021 and Apex South in 2022 with the ambition of avoiding permanent exclusion from school.

Develop an extended Inclusion Team to deliver enhanced support our most vulnerable learners

Integrate online and personalised teaching into the wider inclusion offer to support students that require an alternative school experience.

Every school Develops Trauma Informed Practice and gains Trauma Informed Status

Business Development

Develop governance across our Trust and school to ensure that all leaders are held to account for their decisions and provide clear leadership and direction.

The BTCT Needs to appoint and retain exceptional colleagues.  Providing clear pathways for training and developing our teams so that they consistently reach exceptional professional standards

Ensure that we operate with financial efficiency, deploying our resources to make the greatest impact on young people

Deliver outstanding facilities in which we can learn, work and play safely.
