Here are the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust we know that our core purpose is to ensure that Every Child Achieves.

The Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust (BTCT) Apex Centres are unique learning facilities which provide bespoke offsite provision and intervention for vulnerable young people and children across Somerset. Our Apex West site is located near Minehead in the West Somerset area. Apex South site is located on the edge of Crewkerne in the South Somerset area. Apex Centres offer:

• Practical, inclusive curriculums and outdoor learning provision

• Multi-disciplinary working environments with enhanced access to specialist support and therapies • personalised provision delivered by trained SEMH staff and remote learning teachers

 • Opportunity for all schools within the Trust to engage with an outdoor learning curriculum and Apex Centre sites.

• Support with transition planning back to school, into KS5 or work placement.

Both Apex Centres are coordinated by a Head of Centre, who is part of the wider Trust Inclusion Team. The Head of Centre oversees the curriculum offer, staffing, outreach provision, referral to specialist practitioners and safeguarding.

The Bridgwater and Taunton College Apex Centre(s) offers bespoke intervention ranging from three day packages consisting of core/additional therapeutic support, to a one-day offer focusing on therapeutic and social interaction activities with a trusted adult/team.

Any school age child/young person can be considered for Apex Centre provision when assessed as a vulnerable learner as a result of:

• Long term non-attendance/non engagement.

• Being at risk of exclusion.

• High known number of ACEs impacting on behavioural choices/suspensions.

• Assessed social, emotional or mental health needs.
