Speech and Language Therapist:
Paula Maestri is a qualified, HCPC and RCSLT registered Speech and Language Therapist who graduated from the College of St Mark and St John in 2007.
Paula has extensive experience working with children and young people with a variety of needs, such as speech difficulties, language delay and disorders, social communication difficulties, complex needs and eating and drinking disorders. Paula has been the Trust Lead Speech and Language Therapist at Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust since 2021, and in this role she provides assessment, intervention, training and consultancy.
Prior to her role at BTCT, Paula worked for ten years in the NHS as a Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and then as the Lead Speech and Language Therapist for a national children’s charity. Paula is passionate about supporting children and young people to communicate to the best of their ability and reducing the barriers to functional and meaningful interactions. In her spare time, Paula enjoys spending time with her own children, exploring new places and taking long walks with her dog.
